Founded on research and focused on best practices, this self-defense course follows the “less is best” motto, ensuring that all materials are easy to use. Taught by certified AWARE instructors from the San Jacinto College Police Department, this course will help you:

• Learn how to identify threatening behaviors.
• Gain confidence in handling high-stress situations.
• Practice skills for countering passive and active assaults.

Everyone has a role to play in ending violence against women and men. This program gives students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to:

• Learn about patterns of violence.
• Educate themselves on methods of preventing violence.
• Discover ways to stop violence as a bystander.

Don’t just create a safe space for your LGBTQ+ friends. Be a safe space. The Safe Zone training will help you do just that. In this course, college community members will:

• Learn about issues related to the LGBTQ+ community.
• Develop skills to be a better ally.

Student club advisors are guides, allies, and mentors. Learn everything you need to know about being the best advisor you can be in this annual mandatory training.

Take hold of your leadership responsibilities in this state-mandated, annual risk management training, which all student organizations—including leaders and advisors—must pass with at least an 80%. All organization members must pass this course before embarking on club-related trips.
