Encourage Success
- Students should check their email daily and email their instructor or the dual credit office for assistance. They should always include their G#, on any emails they send.
- Take advantage the College's many resources, such as student support, tutoring, and the library.
- Read and print the syllabus and calendar to become familiar with the class and important deadlines.
- Create a study routine of at least three hours per week.

Dual credit vs advanced placement
While AP courses can potentially earn college credit or placement, dual credit courses allow eligible high school students to earn BOTH high school and college credit by successfully completing an approved San Jacinto College course. Plus, unlike AP, dual credit classes are taught at San Jacinto College by highly qualified professors, giving your child a truly college-level experience.
