Pasadena, Texas – Dr. Robin Wright, a professor of anatomy and physiology at San Jacinto College, has been named among Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for 2025. This recognition highlights her dedication, achievements, and leadership in higher education, particularly in the fields of anatomy, physiology, and microbiology.
With more than a decade of experience in higher education, Wright has made significant contributions to student success and education. Wright has been an instructor at San Jacinto College since 2019. She also works as a visiting professor at Chamberlain School of Nursing, and as a remote international anatomy lecturer with Universidad Quetzalcoatl en Irapuato and the United States Clerkships and Internships. Previously, she was a full-time faculty member at Houston Community College and College of the Mainland, and has worked as a scientist with the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute.
“I am honored to be recognized among Marquis Top Educators,” said Wright. “Teaching and mentoring students is my passion, and I am committed to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals and scientists through education and service.”
Outside of the classroom, Wright is especially proud of her efforts in adult education, including teaching GED classes and helping establish the first adult education program at the Galveston County Jail.
Wright earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Tuskegee University in 1989 and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1995. She attributes her success to her strong spiritual foundation and the unwavering support of family and friends. Looking ahead, she is focused on launching her nonprofit organization, The Wright House, a free clinic for the homeless that will extend her commitment to serving others.
Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators is a recognition program that honors distinguished professionals in education based on their career achievements, leadership, and contributions to their field. The selection process includes an assessment of the professional’s years of service and unique contributions and a comprehensive interview of the professional.
