Barber Conversion, AAS

Technical Degree
The Associate of Applied Science degree prepares you for an entry-level career. Have a cosmetology license and want to add barber credentials? Learn the technical and practical skills of shaving, clipper cutting, and men’s grooming and facials. Training prepares you to sit for the Class A barber licensing exam.
Length 2 Years
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 60 credits for this program in four terms.

Barber Conversion, Occupational Certificate

Certificate
The Occupational Certificate prepares you for the AAS degree or Certificate of Technology program or to advance in your current career. Enter the beauty industry quickly with this one-year, fast-track certificate. Work toward the minimum technical background and experience required to pass the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations Examination for licensing and to gain entry-level employment in professional salons.
Length 3 Months
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 15 credits for this program in four terms.

Barber, Certificate of Technology

Certificate
The Barber, Certificate of Technology is designed to provide technical and practical instruction covering the art of barbering. The goal is to prepare students for the state licensing exam and profitable employment as a Class A barber. Students who successfully complete the barber curriculum are qualified to sit for the exam given by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Length 1 Year
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 31 credits for this program in three terms.

Cosmetology Operator, AAS

Technical Degree
The Associate of Applied Science degree prepares you for an entry-level career. Learn and experience the foundations of cosmetology through hands-on training. Earn credits and hours you need for your licensing test and get a job in the field.
Length 1.5 Years
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 60 credits for this program in four terms, including a summer term.

Cosmetology Operator, Certificate of Technology

Certificate
The Certificate of Technology prepares you for the degree program, an entry-level career, or advancement in your current career. Enter the beauty industry quickly with this one-year, fast-track certificate. Work toward the minimum technical background and experience required to pass the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations Examination for licensing and to gain entry-level employment in professional salons.
Length 6 Months
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 30 credits for this certificate in two terms.

Eyelash Extension Tech

Continuing Ed
This certificate prepares you for the degree program or to advance your current career. Learn current techniques and business practices along with basic knowledge of chemistry, eyelash growth cycles, and proper selection. Obtain a certification by San Jacinto College and NovaLash.

Cost: $2,335 + the Nova Lash Kit (approximately $675)
Length Under 3 Months
This certificate requires 320 hours of training as mandated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Facial Specialist (Esthetician), Certificate of Technology

Certificate
The Certificate of Technology prepares you for our degree program, an entry-level career, or advancement in your current career. Everyone wants healthy, glowing skin. Enjoy a high-demand career helping others improve their complexion through better skincare practices. Pass all six courses to be eligible to take the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Esthetician (Facial) License Examination for licensure.
Length 6 Months
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 24 credits for this certificate in two terms.

Nail Technician, Occupational Certificate

Certificate
The Occupational Certificate prepares you for the AAS degree or Certificate of Technology program or to advance in your current career. Ever heard you can tell people’s age by their hands? Our specialty training program teaches you in-demand manicuring skills – including acrylic, fiberglass, and gel nail extensions – to keep others’ hands looking ageless.
Length 3 Months
If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 17 credits for this certificate in one term.
