MUEN 1141 College Choir
Membership is open to all students, with admission based on an audition and/or conference.
Our choir performs a wide range of musical styles, including both sacred and secular
literature. College Choir is directed by Dr. Patrick Callaghan.
MUEN 1154 Small Vocal Ensemble
Membership is open to a select number of students and is based on an audition. These
groups perform many styles of sacred and secular music throughout the semester. Small

MUEN 1131 Small Instrument Ensemble - Steel Drum Band / Guitar Ensemble
Steel Drum Band directed by Professor Michael Mizma
Guitar Ensemble directed by Professor Greg Petito
Membership is open to all students on the basis of an audition and/or permission from
the ensemble director. The small ensembles meet during three lab hours per week, with
special rehearsals called as needed.
MUEN 1121 SJCC String Orchestra
Directed by Professor Edward Harper
Membership is open to all students on the basis of an audition and/or conference.
All string instruments are included. The String Ensemble meets during three lab hours
per week with special rehearsals called as needed.
MUEN 1124 Wind Ensemble
Directed by Professor Graham Tobin
Membership is open to all students on the basis of an audition and/or conference.
We perform many styles of music, including classical and popular styles. Instruments
include all woodwind, brass, percussion, and selected string instruments. The Wind
Ensemble meets three hours per week, with special rehearsals called as needed.
MUEN 1125 Jazz Ensemble
Directed by Professor Graham Tobin
Membership is open to students on the basis of an audition and/or permission from
the instructor. Instruments include trumpets, trombones, saxophones, piano, bass,
guitar, and percussion. We perform many styles of jazz, including big band, swing,
Latin jazz and jazz/rock. The Jazz Ensemble meets three hours per week with special
rehearsals called as needed.
